One of the next common questions that I’m asked, especially in Utah which is a very conservative state, a very red state, is it legal, is it moral, is it ethical to sue somebody, to file a claim? That’s a question I get asked a lot, especially in this very conservative state and conservative community. The short answer to that is yes. The reason for that first and foremost is you are suing an insurance company. Although a person may be named, an individual may be named, the money doesn’t come from them. The money comes from an insurance company. We’ve all paid premiums. You and I each pay multiple premiums each month to get compensation from insurance companies, so that’s the first thing you need to realize is to not personalize it. The second point that I want to make about this is that those that are conservative, church-owned schools, church-owned buildings, they make claims on insurance claims all the time as well. The predominant church in this area has a fleet of lawyers in Salt Lake City, a firm of over 50 lawyers and they are filing claims and pursuing claims all the time. It is legal, it is moral, and it is absolutely ethical to file claims.
